This is my first double page spread mock up, i have used an image of the black eyed peas to link the pages together, but i do need to improve and add more things to it.
For my fifth mock up of a contents page i have used an image that i have took myself and used grey scale to make the photo look more stylish and sophisticated. Now that i have took my own images i can start getting closer and closer to my final product. Before this however, i will experiment more to get the best finish i can get.
This contents mock up i have created is getting close to what i want my final contents page to look like. Obviously i will need to use a image from my own source, but the design looks good and in my opinion its aesthetically pleasing.
In this contents page i have used a darker background to make it more aesthetically pleasing and I've used a symbol it the top corner to provide more information and make it look more professional.
This second contents page is completely different from the first one i did as i want to experiment as much as i can with different styles. The background seems to plain however, so i may change this on my next mock up.
This is my first mock up to my final contents page. i need to add more information to it, but its a good start to a contents page. I have used an image of Ne-Yo sitting on a formal chair and deleted the background to give it a more professional finish. I think the grey background contrasts well with the black writing and chair that Ne-Yo is sitting in.
In this cover i have used colour pictures instead of black and white to give it a more colourful and attractive look to the page. I am going to do a cover similar to this but may use something in the background of the main image as i think this will give the oage a better look.
This is similar to the last mock up i created, but this time i have changed the font to give it a more eroded look to it and i have also put the artists name on the front of the magazine to show the audience who it is. This would bring attention towards it if it were in a shop.
This, my seventh front cover mock up, is very similar to the last one, except the main picture is different and i have changed font colour in places from black to white and from white to black. These are only small changes, but they make a big difference.
This mock up, similar to the last one, now has a picture i have took myself and is look aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. I have also changed colours of text.
This cover, my fifth mock up, is in my opinion very similar to what a professional magazine front cover would look like and is therefore getting closer to what i want my final piece to be like. I have used different fonts to previous mock ups and i have used the colour scheme of black, grey and white. The are not colourful colours by any means but they work together extremely well.
This is my fourth mock up and i have decided to change the main picture to see the effect a different kind of image has behind the masthead and subheadings. I have also used a quote from Rihanna, "Lovin' life in the States" to give the cover a professional look to it. I have also used an issue number and price under the masthead which makes it look like it is a real magazine. This magazine in my opinion, looks good but may need some more subheadings around the picture.
In this cover i have added extra topics and subheadings around the page to add a border affect and i have also used a different font for "Rihanna's Top 10 Fashion Tips" to make it seem more personal to Rihanna herself. I have also moved some topics round the page and added a slight bit of red into the page to give it an aesthetically pleasing finish.
From the last of my mock ups, i have changed the colour scheme from black and white, to blue and green. Im not sure if it makes the page look more proffesional, but it definately makes the cover stand out more.
This is my first idea and layout of how my final magazine front cover could be. I like the picture i have used so i may try and use a similar picture for my final product. This cover needs more information and subheadings on it, but in my opinion its a good start.
For my magazine main picture i am considering using a medium-long shot of a person to show what they're wearing and what they're doing. I will use a camera angle and shot similar to the one above, but with the model wearing casual clothes. With this type of picture it leaves room for the masthead in one of the top corners and it looks professional.
